DocZone.com delivers a fully functional environment that supports the entire content life cycle, from authoring of original content, through editorial review and approval, localization to multiple languages, and single-source publishing to multiple output formats, including PDF and HTML. DocZone.com provides a seamless production environment available completely through a web browser, consisting of the following components:

Content Creation

The DocZone platform includes a robust browser-based XML authoring environment, and it also provides standard plug-ins to popular desktop XML authoring environments, including XMetaL, Arbortext, and XMLspy.

Content Management and Versioning

DocZone provides an extremely scalable XML-based environment for managing content reuse, version control, reporting, and single-source publishing, leveraging the power of a highly scalable native XML database.

Workflow

DocZone's enhanced workflow application layer supports a streamlined flow of information through your product life cycle. The workflow application is fully configurable and allows for the automation of many tasks in your process. Administrator, author, reviewer, translator, and other roles are easily accommodated.

Translation Memory

DocZone is bundled with the innovative and robust XTM server-based translation memory tool (produced by XML-Intl) . This application eliminates the need to export your content to localization vendors for use within their proprietary translation memory tools. Because your XML content and your translation memory are one and the same, all stored within your DocZone repository, you can control your translation memory in-house. If you work with multiple vendors, they simply use a browser to access your CMS, localize content, and immediately check in translated XML content to your repository.

Automated Single-Source Publishing

The DocZone environment is delivered with “out of the box” support for XSLT processing to electronic output formats, and high-end XML-based composition to PDF. The system also supports the export of native XML documents for automated processing by higher end composition tools, such as InDesign.
