DocZone.com® and JustSystems Partner to Simplify DITA Implementations
Munich, Germany–November 17, 2008–DocZone.com (www.doczone.com) and JustSystems (www.justsystems.com) today announced a new partnership where the companies will work together to enable businesses to leverage the value of the Darwin Information Typing Architecture (DITA) standard. DITA allows content creators to efficiently create, collaborate, and reuse information that can be repurposed into the languages and formats customers demand, and Epson America, Inc., a manufacturer of printers, 3LCD projectors and small- and medium-sized LCDs, is an example of a customer already reaping the benefits of this powerful new collaborative DITA solution. The announcement was made at the DITA Europe Conference 2008 being held November 17th and 18th at the Holiday Inn Munich in Germany.
Under the terms of the partnership agreement, DocZone.com is an authorized worldwide reseller of JustSystems' industry-leading DITA authoring tool, XMetaL Author Enterprise. The new DocZone DITA Platform, also announced today, is a hosted content management solution that uses XMetaL as its default DITA authoring tool.
“The powerful combination of DocZone DITA and JustSystems’ XMetaL was just what we were looking for to streamline our content reuse practices,” said Burt Courtier, Manager of Documentation/Software Integration at Epson America, Inc. “With a wide customer base and a large volume of products, it is critical that our product documentation gets updated in real-time.”
Dan Dube, CEO of DocZone.com, commented: “We are very happy to announce this new partnership with JustSystems. We have long admired their leadership role in the DITA authoring tool arena, and we feel that XMetaL is the perfect complement to our new DocZone DITA hosted CMS solution.”
"Our relationship with partners like DocZone.com is critical to our success," notes Aaron Deitcher, vice president of North America and EMEA for JustSystems. "The DocZone.com and JustSystems integration allows us to create new, valuable offerings for our mutual customers, such as Epson America."
To promote the new partnership, DocZone.com is offering “3 months free” of DocZone DITA for each XMetaL authoring license purchased directly from DocZone.com. In addition, DocZone and JustSystems will be offering a webinar on December 9th at 1 p.m. EST called, “Hosted DITA Content Management System: The Right Solution in a Tough Economy?” During the webinar, attendees will learn how to implement a DITA content management system (CMS) using an affordable “Software as a Service (SaaS)” model, which offers a hosted DITA component content management environment on a subscription basis.
